The Iora is a bassinet that can be placed at the bedside that allows parents to feel more connected to their infant while they sleep. It adjusts upwards and downwards and slides through three positions to fit next to the bed of the parent or in the corner of the room so that baby is always close to the parent's side. The mesh siding allows air to flow through and allows you to see your baby quickly. And you can store additional pajamas and other items in the large storage basket beneath.
The Iora is a smaller bedside cot that can fold flat. It also comes with a travel case to allow it to be carried anywhere. Our mum testers were able to move it from room to room, and believed it was a great size for a bedside cot that was not too big or too small. They also appreciated the large storage basket which is ideal for stowing nappies or bedding.
This is a great choice for parents who wish to sleep in a co-sleeping bed but don't want to share their bed. Or if one of the partners suffers from mobility issues such as back pain or arthritis. Our mom testers love the ease with which they can access their baby in the Iora, and it also has an optional reflux incline to aid in reducing gas.
Our mums appreciate the fact that it meets NICE guidelines which state that you should place the infant in a crib or Moses basket on its own (with no toys, blankets pillows, etc.). They also claim that the mattress is comfortable and firm for baby and is easy to find sheets for. It's not as light as the other cribs that are smaller on our list, so if you prefer something lighter and easier to move, you can choose another alternative.
